Acts Chapter 9 part 2

Part 2 of chapter 9 deals with the reality of true conversion.  In order for one to have a true conversion experience one must be totally surrender to Lordship and salvific authority of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Although Saul was steeped in religion (a Pharisee) he needed a personal relationship with Christ in order to be converted and saved.  Many may want the benefits, but are not willing to obey the Word of God.

Acts Chapter 8 part 4 & Chapter 9 part 1

Pastor Holmes is concluding the eight chapter of Acts by expounding on Philip's use of the prophecy of Isaiah regarding the Messiah.  Philip preached the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Pastor Holmes then opens the nineth chapter of Acts with the begining transistion of Saul (who later was named Paul).
